Join us on Sunday, March 10 from 11:00 a.m.to 4:00 p.m., starting off at Meaford Hall and then go to the Meaford & St. Vincent Community Centre for more festivities. Fun all day long!
Starting off at Meaford Hall at 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.:
- Museum exhibit Meaford 150 years Retrospective will be in the Meaford Hall Galleries from January 8 to March 28, 2024. Museum reception will be from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Meaford’s downtown history project and a special 150 Cookbook will be revealed and available for purchase. A timeline of every decade. Nibbles and music will be available.

Then head to the Meaford & St. Vincent Community Centre for:
- Free Family Public Skating from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
- Pickleball Demonstration and Skills Fun 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the meeting room
- Community Engagement Displays 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. A snapshot of our community through some of the organizations who thrive here: Meaford Ministerial, Rotary, Meaford and St. Vincent Agricultural Society, Meaford Theatre Company, Meaford Cultural Foundation, Goldenaires, Meaford Family Resource Centre, Meaford Public Library, Sports – Pickleball, Curling, Coyotes Running Club. Children’s Activities by Meaford Scarecrow Invasion and Beautiful Joe Society, and the Quilting Guild. The Meaford Museum will be selling their Sesquicentennial Cookbooks. Meaford 150 Events table will be hosted by the ladies of the Bognor Spring Tea Party. Meaford 150 Merchandise will be available.
- Opening Ceremony 2 p.m. – Be part of ringing in the next 150 years. The Goldenaires will lead us in O Canada. Dignitaries will be welcomed. The Meaford Town Crier will share his declaration. Jeni Besworth, a renowned podcaster, will share stories of her childhood in Meaford. Dennis Freeborn, former police chief, will lead the ringing of the bells.
- Other activities include adding your name, memory or what you like about Meaford to the townscape, learning about the Hello Campaign and Meaford’s 150 Signal. Police memorabilia and bike will be on display. Oh yes, treat yourself to a cupcake by the Meaford Family Resource Centre and a hot chocolate.
