Save the Date: Volunteer Training

Breaking Down Barriers, a registered charity and inclusive agency serving individuals with visible and invisible disabilities has developed a training session for Christmas on the Bay volunteers, other volunteers and community members within our community.

Date: Tuesday, November 12, 2024

Time: 6:00 – 7:00 pm training

Where: Meaford Hall and via Zoom.

According to Breaking Down Barriers “This training session will provide you with an understanding of what a disability is and how to support individuals with disabilities in order to create an inclusive and accepting experience for everyone.”

The training will give us tips on communicating and interacting with a variety of individuals with diverse abilities including those with visual, hearing, physical, developmental  and dynamic disabilities. We encourage all volunteers to attend.  Community members are also welcome. The training is free.
