Introducing the Andrew Gawley Creative Centre

The thing about folks in small towns like Meaford is that they’re self reliant, resourceful, and creative.  Have a problem? They’ll figure out how to fix it!

No one exemplifies this can-do spirit more than Meaford’s own Andrew Gawley. Having lost both his hands in a sawmill accident, he created his own mechanical hands.  He refined these to the point that he could repairs engines and bicycles!  Read more about Andrew Gawley here.

Inspired by of Gawley’s do-it-yourself spirit, we’d like to establish a place where members of the public can realize their full creative potential.

Interested?

We’re imagining a place that would support all kinds of creative projects, from sculpture to mechanics, from art to electronics to jewelry.

What would you like to see in a space like this.  A tool library? A 3D printer? Workbenches? What else?

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please provide some feedback in the form below or send us an email and we’ll add you to our list of Andrew Gawley insiders!
